SOFIE DILLON
Sofie Dillon, born 1978, is one of the country’s most accomplished fashion stylists. She moved to London as a teenager to pursue a career as a model. This career continued in Paris, Milan, and New York.
Following studies in art, design, and fashion at The London College of Fashion, Sofie began working for british Conde Nast and assisting at Russian and American Vogue. After having assisted Superfine´s Lucy Pinter, Sofie struck out on her own and began working at Russian Jalouse.
Sofie worked out of London and New York until 2007 when she returned to Stockholm. Today she divides her time equally between Stockholm, Paris, London, and New York.
Her editorial clients include Interview, Tank, Perfect, Arena, Russian L’Officiel, Bon, Café, Tush, Jalouse, and Costume. Commercial clients include Wera, NK, Sisley, and JStore.
Sofie is inspired by all the people she meets, by books, and by historical documentaries. Her instinct for color, form, and silhouette is razor sharp and challenges conventional views on beauty. Clothes are an individual expression, yet she creates a world for the rest of us to lose ourselves in. A place where one can find room for fantasy and an escape from reality.
