MAGNUS FLOBECKER
Magnus Flobecker, born 1968, took on his first design commissions in his teens and later received a degree in Fashion Studies at Beckmans. Following graduation he worked for a few years at Elle, JC, and Slitz, after which he became a full-time stylist. His base has remained Stockholm since to some extent has travelled continuously throughout his career.
He has worked with costume design for performing artists and TV hosts, everything from music videos to the Eurovision Song Contest and televised galas. The performing artists include Agneta Fältskog and Alcazar.
Yet his main venues are commercial assignments. His clients include Björn Axén, T-Mobile, Duka, Dagens Nyheter, Mumm Champagne, and Van Deurs. Recent editorial clients are Plaza and Pause.
His style is frequently one characterized as cinematic and glamorous. It has a rich opulent feel although the tone may be trashy rock’n’roll. Magnus is comfortable with, and appreciates, the large collaborative projects that are often demanded in assignments for performing artists and commercial clients.
Fashion is his one true love, but Magnus also finds time to create interior design for a select number of private customers.
