Fashion photographer Oscar Falk doesn’t shy away from being serious in his photography. He strives for a believable, cinematographic expression where the models are sincere in style and mood. He prefers an earnest tone to a complicated composition. Simplicity is his weapon of choice, yet many of his photo suites are based on thorough research.
This results in photography that is both perfect and detailed. Every picture is sufficiently powerful to stand alone.
Oscar Falk, born 1973, began his photography career with a five-year stint as an assistant. But since the end of the 90s he has worked independently. He has always done a lot of editorial work, mostly for foreign clients. Magazine titles include Tatler, Tush, Amica, Feld, Russian Vogue, Italian and Swedish Elle, Dutch, French, and Swedish Glamour, Plaza and Café.
These days he spends half his time on commercial assignments. He has distinguished himself as both a men’s and ladies’ fashion photographer, something his many assignments for H&M, Monsoon, Closed, Boomerang, NK, Polo and Whyred attests to.
