PETER NORMAN

Peter Norman, born 1963, has a unique position in Sweden. He combines a successful career as a chef with an equally successful career as a food stylist. He trained as a chef in Paris and has worked in several restaurants in Sweden. He launched Café Oscar with the sisters Voltaire, he operated a catering firm, and he has managed the restaurant “Normans mat och form” on the island of Skeppsholmen in Stockholm.

Peter has written several cook books and also penned food features for both newspapers and magazines. During half a year he traveled around the word to the most interesting and exciting places he could find to create his life style cook book “Pink! The Pink Cook Book” in collaboration with photographer Mikael Strinnhed.

Peter loves traveling and spends several months a year abroad. Among other places he enjoys Brazil, New Zealand, and India.

Commercially he works with all the big food companies like Felix, Swegro, Scan, Prior, Kronfågel, and Arla. His editorial clients include Eller à la Carte, Gourmet, LagaLätt, Mersmak, and Svenska Dagbladet.

Peter can do everything from preparing the food ahead of a photo session to selecting and arranging the décor. His strength is that he can make food look delicious and delightful and then transform the result of that to a complete work of art.

Not only is he a chef and a food stylist, he is also a trained gardener and has his own culinary garden.

(Soon one will be able to see Peter Norman in his own cooking show on one of the big commercial TV channels.)
